In Part 2 of the Barfoot Snoboards tale, Chuck dusts off some classic creations, including the first ever twin tip snowboard that Neil Daffern designed for the Barfoot team.
We find Chuck Barfoot sidewalk-surfing on one of his handmade boards in front of his Barfoot Customs Boards depot in Rincon Point, CA . Originally a surfboard-shaper, Chuck was there at the very beginning of snowboarding, first constructing boards for Tom Sims in the late 70s, and then going out on his own in the early 80s, creating Barfoot Snowboards from scratch.
Chuck Barfoot was up with Powder Mountain Catskiing and here’s one of his runs down Cypress. Shortly after this run it was renamed after he said” That’s the kind of run I like, wide open powder, perfect old man powder. Now the run is called Old Man’s.
