Chuck Barfoot was up with Powder Mountain Catskiing and here’s one of his runs down Cypress. Shortly after this run it was renamed after he said” That’s the kind of run I like, wide open powder, perfect old man powder. Now the run is called Old Man’s.
Fifty-six years young, Barfoot has called the South Coast home for nearly 40 years. After relocating from the shores of New Jersey to the hippie haven of Mountain Drive in the early 1970s, the former high school wrestling champion and one-time Greg Noll surf team member has carved out a life for himself literally with his bare hands.
